“The history of salvation is being accomplished in the midst of the history of the world,” wrote St. Pope Paul VI in March 1971. In other words: human history is salvation history. St. Francis Xavier Catholic School students know.
St. Francis Xavier Catholic School students begin every weekend with prayer. On Fridays before dismissal, our scholars gather in their respective classrooms, calmly quiet down, and pray the Rosary together.
Teachers at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School have a special tool in their tool belts when teaching students to read and write well.
St. Francis Xavier Catholic School was established in 1954 as the first mission of the St. Francis Xavier Parish. Since then, we have served hundreds of families in the community by providing their children with a Christ-focused education rooted in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
Our soccer teams are open to both students and parishioners. Players compete with other Catholic parishes in the Birmingham area through the Birmingham United Soccer Association (BUSA).
St. Francis Xavier (SFX) Catholic School 1st through 7th grade students closed out the 2023-2024 school year on Friday, May 24, with a special Mass.
