St. Francis Xavier Catholic School concludes the 2023-2024 school year!

St. Francis Xavier (SFX) Catholic School 1st through 7th grade students closed out the 2023-2024 school year on Friday, May 24, with a special Mass.

SFX School’s 8th graders graduated on Tuesday, whereas PreK and Kindergarten students concluded the school year with separate programs on Wednesday.

The 2023-2024 school year was a tremendous success for SFX School. Not only did our students make many fond memories (many of which you can read about here), but the school graduated 20 8th graders, who will begin high school in the fall. Seventeen of these students also received the Sacrament of Confirmation in April and 16 2nd graders received Holy Communion for the first time earlier this month!

Overall, this school year was filled with joyous learning and love for God and neighbor, which is ultimately what SFX School is about.

Whether witnessing the Catholic Intellectual Tradition through our integrated curriculum, practicing sportsmanship and fortitude while competing in one of our athletic programs, attending school Mass on Wednesdays, or exhibiting generosity and courtesy in our day-to-day interactions with teachers and friends, SFX students grew not only their minds but their hearts.

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School is an accredited classical Catholic PreK-8 school in Birmingham’s Crestline neighborhood that uses the time-tested Catholic Intellectual Tradition to form students in virtue through the pursuit of academic excellence and service toward God and neighbor.
