Students celebrate successful school year with sweet treats, bouncy houses, other festivities at Spring Fling
Students of all ages at St. Francis Xavier (SFX) Catholic School celebrated a successful 2023-2024 school year on Friday at the annual Spring Fling.
The Spring Fling is a special celebration held every year by SFX School. This year, the school treated students to ice cream, cookies, face painting, and bouncy houses to commemorate their hard work over the past two semesters.
The 2023-2024 school year will end on Friday, May 24. On Tuesday, May 21, SFX 8th Graders will graduate. They will begin high school in August.
During Friday’s Spring Fling, classes came in groups to the blacktop behind the school. SFX School’s PreK3 and PreK4 classes arrived first thing in the morning. Kindergarten and 1st and 2nd Grades arrived after, followed by 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Middle school students celebrated after lunch.
Each student received ice cream and cookies from Bendy’s Cookies & Cream either during lunch or before they returned to class.
Several parent volunteers helped distribute snacks, provided water bottles, and chaperoned the event.
St. Francis Xavier Catholic School is an accredited classical Catholic PreK-8 school in Birmingham’s Crestline neighborhood that uses the time-tested Catholic Intellectual Tradition to form students in virtue through the pursuit of academic excellence and service toward God and neighbor.
